Directions when travelling north on the A1M

come off just after the angel of the north and up Kingsway the central avenue of the Team Valley Trading Estate do a u-turn on the first roundabout head back as soon as you pass Magnet kitchens turn left and then next left. before you reach screw fix Sainsbury's car park is on your right.

Our building is flashed with yellow we are next door around the corner from K2 Beads (a chinese internet only company) who do not accept callers, but we love you to call see and touch our collection. We insure you a warm welcome and easy parking.



History

Norman Longstaff Opened the Georgian Window Gift Shop Durham City in 1981 

Norman recalls The shop was an instant success appart from selling jewellery ethnic clothes and unusual greetings cards I found a supplier in London near Worlds end on The Old Kings Road called Hobby Horse and they supplied me all my beads and findings this was from 1982 onwards. So many girls and their mams loved making earrings there and then in the shop. In 2007 a lady from Northumberland opened a fabulous bead shop in Durham and Gosforth called Le Beado it was a great success  but then when they opened in the Westgate Centre London sadly it was too much for Le Beado and they closed.
   However Gill who owned Le Beado sold me all the beads. I discovered again how ladies love to create their own jewellery and then cards and crafts of all kinds.  So here we are in the Team Valley supplying beads for beaders and card papers etc for card crafters 

The Georgian Window is such a popular destination for arty ladies who love the unusual and tasteful things and all the vibrant clothes jewellery and gift items sold amidst the ancient atmosphere of this little shop with it's nooks and crannies.
